Defective Kraft product recalled

In a statement released on January 19, the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (DA) announced that Truitt Brothers Inc. is recalling its cheeseburger mac products because of misbranding.

A quality control inspection conducted by the company found that some labels of the recalled Kraft Velveeta Cheesy Skillets SINGLES – ULTIMATE CHEESEBURGER MAC failed to declare the presence of the allergens hydrolyzed soy protein and dried soy sauce. The FSIS stated that about 1.77 million pounds of cheeseburger mac products are being recalled.

Recalled products have UPC code 2100004329, and case codes 00210000432900, 00210000432910, 00210000432925, 00210000464000 and 00210000465100. The Used By/Sell By date is labeled ’02 MARCH 2014 – 23 OCTOBER 2014.’
